My Education
I hold a life-time teaching certification from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. I graduated from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky in 1984 with a BS in Elementary Education. I later earned a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in reading from Union College in Barbourville and a Sixth Year degree in Special Needs Education from Cumberland College.
I taught 2 years in private Kindergarten settings and nine years as a Knox County Public school Kindergarten teacher at Artemus. I then moved to middle school grades teaching Science. I have taught creative writing, reading, health/PE, Arts, Math and self contained classroom across all elementary grades.
I loved the job and enjoy working with students. I miss them often.
